Privacy Policy

PostSermon is a church operating system — membership, events, sermon content and church media — built by Scripture Live. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Last updated 14 July 2026

Who we are

PostSermon (“we”, “us”) is operated by Scripture Live. You can reach us at any time at info@scripturelive.app.

Two kinds of people appear in this policy. Church accounts are the pastors and church staff who sign up and use PostSermon. Members are the congregants, visitors, volunteers and vendors whose details a church stores in PostSermon. For member data, the church is the owner and decides what is collected and what is sent; we process it on that church’s instructions.

Information we collect

  • Church account information — name, email address, phone number, church name and country, and the login credentials handled by our authentication provider.
  • Member information a church adds — name, phone number, email address, WhatsApp number, birthday, group membership, event registrations and attendance, and any notes the church records. A member gives these details directly on a church’s sign-up, welcome, event or volunteer form, or the church enters them.
  • Content you upload — sermon audio, video, images and documents, and the transcripts, summaries, clips, flyers and other content generated from them.
  • Payment information — payments are processed by Paystack. We receive a confirmation and a reference; we never see or store full card details.
  • Usage information — basic technical logs (IP address, browser, timestamps, pages viewed) used to keep the service secure and working.

SMS and phone numbers

Phone numbers collected for SMS are used solely to send messages from the church the member signed up with. We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers or SMS consent with any third party or affiliate for marketing purposes. Members can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

A member is only added to a church’s SMS list when they give express consent — by ticking the SMS consent box on that church’s sign-up form, or by giving the church their number for that purpose. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of registering for an event, joining a church, or using any other part of PostSermon.

We use telecommunications providers to deliver the messages we are asked to send. These providers act on our instructions solely to transmit the message and are not permitted to use phone numbers for their own purposes. This is delivery, not sharing: no phone number and no record of SMS consent is ever passed to anyone for marketing.

To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help, or email info@scripturelive.app. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. See our Terms of Service for the full SMS terms.

How we use information

  • To provide the service — run a church’s membership, events and content.
  • To send the messages a church asks us to send to its own members, on the channel the member consented to (SMS, WhatsApp, email or Telegram).
  • To generate the content a church requests from its own sermons and documents.
  • To take payment, apply credits, and send receipts.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and meet our legal obligations.
  • To reply when you contact us for support.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use member data to advertise to members, and we do not use one church’s member data for any other church.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the service providers that make the product work, and only to the extent needed to do their job. They are bound to use it solely to provide their service to us:

  • Hosting, storage and content delivery for the application and uploaded media.
  • Our authentication provider, which manages sign-in for church accounts.
  • Telecommunications and email providers that deliver messages a church sends.
  • Paystack, which processes payments.
  • AI providers that generate transcripts and content from the media you upload.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or to protect the rights and safety of our users. Beyond this, we do not share personal information — and as stated above, phone numbers and SMS consent are never shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep information for as long as the church account is active and we need it to provide the service. A church can delete a member, an event, a sermon or its media at any time from its dashboard. When an account is closed, we delete or anonymise its data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records to meet a legal or accounting obligation.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production data is restricted to the people who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, and we investigate any incident promptly.

Your choices and rights

  • Stop text messages — reply STOP to any message. You will be removed from that church’s SMS list.
  • Stop emails — use the unsubscribe link in any message we send.
  • See, correct or delete your details — ask the church you gave them to; they can do this from their dashboard. You can also email us at info@scripturelive.app and we will pass the request to the church and help them action it.

Children

PostSermon is not directed at children. Church accounts must be held by adults. Where a church records a minor’s details, it is the church’s responsibility to have the appropriate parental or guardian consent.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to church accounts by email.
